‘Walking with Angels’

A group of fundraisers undertook a charity walk in memory of four very special girls, who have all died.

The ‘Walking with Angels’ trek was organised by Becky Humphrey and friends,  in memory of two little girls, Millie Heaton and Amelia Mae Davies, who both lost their lives to Neuroblastoma, and Rebecca Ayres and Rebecca Bamber who both died as a result of Domestic Violence.

The walk started from Morrisons car park in Ormskirk and finished at the Britannia Hotel in Otterspool, a total of 21 miles.  The 18 walkers set off at 8.30am and finished at 2.45pm.

Becky said “It’s so sad to think that one child every 16 hours loses their life to Neuroblastoma and three women a week are killed because of Domestic Violence”.

SWACA would like to thank everyone who was involved with ‘Walking with Angels’ for their support.  So far £700 has been raised for SWACA.
